I'm hopeful. I was also hopeful about that one with the two fairly famous knife making brothers, but was somewhat horrified at their behavior and lack of professionalism, and kind of turned off by the off-the-wall stuff they made. Seeing a series where they all make good, hopefully historically accurate swords will be great.
It'd be cool to see a themed show o this type as well(Euro, Japanese, etc). Imagine seeing Walter Sorrells, Jesus Hernandez, Anthony Diristofano and maybe even Rick Barret or Howard Clark in a showdown, hahaha.

Can't say one thing or another about the show until it airs, but the Facebook comments are a gold mine.

I hope it takes a cue from the SciFi series Face Off, where the contestants are helpful and supportive of one another and the focus is on the work not drama.

The new Man at Arms Reforged series is much better now, with real smithing from skilled smiths (sam and ilya and the stagmers).
