So.... I have been playing around with the new sword and the camera and software...... so for your entertainment and my practice here ya go. somewhere i lost the clip of the damage to the stand. if you watch you can see that on a couple of the cuts i took off a piece of the stand as well. Beautiful clean cuts in wood! yes i know I am only supposed to cut the bottles ;D. I am taking pics of the dissembled sword and the stand so that you can judge for yourselves the durability. posting pics shortly

Pretty good cutting. The bug about halfway in was interesting, too.

Yes it was. I thought for a second that I'd been lured back into that "Spooky unexplained-mysteries" thread. But, that is some smooth, accurate cutting. Must be a great sword too.

Nice cutting, Stevo. Makes ya thirsty don't it?
Random, that was a bee. Is a bee a bug? I forget.

Looks very good! I am looking forward to getting the Arming sword. I hope it makes it past the border.

Thanks guys, the raw video is 22 minuets, I spent a lot of time in between slow practicing form all of the bottles are 12 oz except the first gallon jugs. I am starting to feel like I'm getting the hang of this. And it"s way to much fun. ;D ;D ;D I paid that Bee well The stand after cutting practice, all of this damage occurred during this vid side "A" of the threaded portion of the tang Side "B" Side "A" on my 4' level Side "B" on my 4' level the pics of the edge didn't come out well. The edge sustained no damage at all. some marking of the finish but i expect those to come off when i sharpen it. Today is my sons 13th birthday, he got a shrewsbury and 2 cases of water, along with permission and instruction to cut with my sharps. This longsword and my Auray. he did pretty well ;D ;D

Steve: Looking good mate, it is great to see people cutting on the board, I need to get myself a camera so I can show my own cutting prowess, or lack of it You need to learn more fluidity in your cutting mate, loading up on the cut is all well and good for learning how to cut but as you progress you should learn to make lighter faster cuts because they are where you want to be with your cutting.
