well I have for years i have been useing a Military-style back pack that had about 3,000 -cu. in. capacity of stuff it could hold for hunting/fishing/ ect. Well i started smelling like fish and i toss it out. I now use a pink camo Laptop Backpack that holds 2,470-cu. in. capacity of stuff and look like the Cactus Jack Expandable Tactical Backpack on sportsman guide just in pink. I would like to know if this would make a good backpack if let say i had to load of some gear, ammo and a rilfe and protect myseft on the street in a hurricane katrina/riot/the purge anarchy like scenario for 10-72 hours? I got in pink cause i wanted to be seen in a walking dead scenario and people would not think i am a zombie but i have the same pack in black.

Well absolutely yes.
You lucked out, the eyes are one of the first thing to go after death. Eye transplant donor eyes need to be removed almost immediately or they loose their ability to denote colors. Shades of red/pink are the last to go so Zombies would must likely be able to distinguish a spectrum of red/magenta, which due to their own torn red carcasses they would equate as belonging to another Zombie. So Zombies would think you are another Zombie and leave you alone.
Yes I'm kidding, basing Urban survival gear on the possibility of being able to be distinguished from a Zombie is a poor reason. Considering you are more likely to be attacked by another human, having a bright colored pack is like sending up flares that say "Here I am"
