Look what arrived today via Fedex ground. ;D I took it outside and chopped a couple of bottles (and my stand) with it almost immediately. It's very light in the hand and well balanced. There was a little bit of what appears to be light rust forming on the guard and pommel but it's very superficial. Otherwise the finish is great. The handle was still wrapped in string when it arrived. Man if only I could execute a seam that well... Something I never noticed in the pictures, the fuller terminiates into a hexagonal cross-section briefly before one edge of the flat wanders into the middle and becomes a ridge, and the other edge blends into the profile of the blade. It makes a nice smooth transition from one shape to the next. Oh yeah, the edge. Everything else I own I had to sharpen myself. The edge on this blade is very well executed, and paper cutting sharp. look what it did to my cutting stand hehe. Not a mark on the blade. I can't believe how well this sword handles. Edit: I could go on but I'm sure others will cover what I missed.

I'm in ol' Virginny. I'll be going out of town this weekend, so hopefully it arrives no later than tomorrow afternoon. I'd hate for it to sit on my porch all weekend...

sounds like you need pampers more than a sword ... lol ;D ;D Very likely, especially as I NOW HAVE A TRACKING NUMBER!!!! YEEEE HAW!!!! And Kent, WA, is only 540 mi away, about an 8 hr drive, so it should get here tomorrow!!! ;D Although, with my kind of luck, it'll get here Friday when I will be gone all day and won't be back until late. But, it IS on its way!!!!! So, as of now, I am OFFICIALLY on pins and needles while doing the pee-pee dance! Hey, I'm still a kid at heart. Grinning from ear to ear, Richard of Hungry Horse

I still have nothing. Give it a couple days. You're clear across the country, and it shipped on Monday. I'd be surprised if it got there before Monday or Tuesday {FedEx Ground}.

I wouldn't expect much different, either. It's just that knowing it's finally on its way makes every day twice as long. It'll get here; I just hope I'll be the one to find it first... (mother will have a fit if she finds it...)

And Kent, WA, is only 540 mi away, about an 8 hr drive, so it should get here tomorrow!!! ;D Well, slap me up alongside the head and call me stupid! Firstly, the tracking page clearly shows that the estimated date of delivery is 4/28 (five days total). Secondly, why would I ever think that FedEx would take the most direct route? It went from Kent to Auburn, WA, thence to Portland, OR. From there, it went to Billings, MT (waaaay SE of here) and from there, I'm not sure, as it is still in transit. Well, it'll be here Monday, so I will quit fretting about it. MORAL: Let the package get there when it gets there AND The express company will ship it via the most convoluted route possible.

FEDEX came by today! Thanks, Gus!Absolutely lovely, handles like a dream. Can't add much to what was posted above. Haven't had the chance to cut with it yet, but will w/in a couple of days. The fuller termination is very well done. It was worth the wait. Indeed, it was. ;D I think I'm gonna love this sword. Happy in Montana, Richard
