As my small weapon collection grows, I am quickly running out of space to store my weapons. I have limited shelf and closet space in the rental that I live in, and I have resorted to storing my swords under my bed, where they collect extreme amounts of dust. Drilling holes in the wall is frowned upon by my landlord, so hanging swords is not an option. How do you store your weapons? Does anyone use wooden display chests or bins? What is an effective way of safely storing weapons? Thanks, Loki537

I have racks with shelves mounted to the wall, but since that's not an option for you (I don't trust Command hooks and the like, had one tear a huge chunk of paint off my wall) then maybe one of the many standing floor racks on the market? What I can't be bothered to put on the wall just leans against it...
I have a gun cabinet and a gun safe that holds a few of my older wallhangers, but those are fairly expensive so probably not a great option...
I did pick up a cheap display case for some of my knives a few years back, a wooden box about 10"x16"x3" I'd guess with a hinged glass lid. Lots of my older knives are in there, the rest are split up between my headboard, desk, and recliner...

What's the point of having swords if you can't see them. If you can't mount them to the wall use a free standing sword stand. they're pretty cheap. Everyone of my swords are on displays.

I also have the "no drilling holes in the wall " restriction . So I have a couple of the 3 tier sword stands on my bookshelf and the nightstand. I also store some in the gun cabinet. Some are just laying about in corners, on the table,on the bed or in sword cases because they go with me.

Thank you for all of the suggestions. I will probably end up getting a couple of the stands and the plastic boxes. I have no clue as to how I completely overlooked sword stands. Hopefully I will be able to move soon, and will be able hang me beauties. Thanks again, Loki537

I store some of my swords in an 8-gun cabinet similar to this: It comfortably holds and displays 8 katanas, jians or similar swords with small guards. Euros with large guards need more room, so they go in the safe.
