All my swords only have basic scabbards, none have a belt attachment.
I have seen dedicated sword belts, belt loop attachments and something called 'frogs'.
What do you guys use? Do you like anything in particular over anything else or do they all work about the same?
Thanks

My favourite belt is a 2 point suspension system. I find it to be easy to adjust for different length swords. I did a review on a belt I had made for me which can be adjusted to fit everything from a katana to a gladius. It's sort of a 1.5 point suspension because it has two straps which are fixed around the scabbard, but they are looped around the same ring on the belt. sbg-sword-forum.forums.net/thread/22135/review-custom-slayer-medieval-leatherworksand in this video review I talk about the 2 point suspension at about 5 minutes in

I haven't found anything that works better for outdoor wear that the original historic type belt systems. I especially like the Japanese tuck-in-belt for swords with roundish scabbards/saya. And for European designs, I find the integrated belt models from the Crusades era to be my favorites. I want a belt system that holds the scabbard securely to my body during movement. I've got a fairly unique situation in that I can actually wear a sword most of a day (when I plan to) while going about my chores, and see how various systems work for transport. I like to judge a system by running short sprints with sudden stops, and doing a hula hoop dance in it for a bit. I've found that anything that lets me mostly ignore the sword during those activities works out well for me.
These are my favorite types of medieval belt systems represented by some of DBK's fine examples:

Thanks, That makes sense to have an attachment system that keeps the sword secure and unflappable.

I had bought a dedicated sword belt, that I can just put literally any sword in and have it hang there, its just not the same as a integrated sword belt that shooter mike showed. There alot more comfy and easier to move around in, plus they looked cooler :P

I suppose it depends what time period you are looking at and what you are using the sword for.
