Okay, it's not real important but my curiosity has gotten the better of me again. We all know about Paul Chen with Hanwei but there's also a Paul Chen with Cheness as well. Same Paul Chen, different Paul Chen, related, not related? Not that it's uncommon for someone to own more than one business but not usually ones that are competing with each other. Enlighten me with your wisdom master.

Wasn't sure if this was one of those cases of son walks away from dad's business to go it on his own. That's not uncommon.

And not to be confused with Fred Chen (huanuo swords) and Ricky Chen ().

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING. What is this, a Chen monopoly? Is there an ancient law in China that says you have to be a Chen to make swords?

And now for today's history lesson ;) - yes, all those European swordsmiths of old would have been named Smith, as would have the silversmiths, locksmiths and every other smith, they just haven't carried on their family businesses! :)

True and Leif who discovered America 500 years before Columbus wasn't Leif Ericson he was Leif, Eric's son. A lot of last names were derived from occupations also.
