My first reaction was "WHOA!" That was also my second reaction--that thing is 4+ pounds? If you pick one up let us know what you think.

Well, it's a giant knife with a long handle. Certainly looks heavy to handle, can't say I'm excited by it, but neat.

not real impressed to be honest personally I would prefer one of these - Called Ke Tri in Tibetan. 31-32" and 3/8" across the spine with some distal taper. about 44oz. and about 1 1/2" width. More here www.himalayan-imports.com/sword.htmlBig ones Tibetan Sword - Long ($325) 36 inches, 9 inch handle, about 55 ounces. Max width about 1.5 inches, max thickness about 3/8. Differentially hardened and beautifully fullered. Full tang, Chiruwa style handle. and slightly smaller Tibetan Sword - Short ($295) 31.5 inches and about 42 ounces. Max width about 1 & 5/8". max thickness about 5/16". Full tang Chiruwa style handle. Differentially hardened. Excellently done.
