I finally had a chance to do some test cutting with my M1822 trooper. Unfortunately, my camera decided not to record, so there is no footage, but I must say, it does cut admirably. Targets were the traditional water bottles, along with acorn squash, wet rolled newspaper, and an expired side of ribs from a local butcher. For the water bottles, it may as well have been a lightsaber, but the acorn squash and newspaper put up a bit more resistance. However, both were cleaved cleanly in half more than once with a single blow. The side of ribs made for an interesting exercise in thrusting, but cutting was difficult due to the proportions of the thing. All in all it was all further proof of the brilliance of the design. If you haven't purchased one yet, go do it now!

Shame the camera didn't cooperate. It should be the next to feel the slice of the M1822!
