I thought i would share this tip for those who may not have thought of it. if you live in a relativly small town as i do you may be able to pick up the surplus from youre local newspaper. Alot of small town papers usualy end up with a couple extra bundles left over after the weeks run, and usualy they get tossed out or recycled. you can check and if they have any you can usualy get them for free. it's worth a check any way!!! perfect if you do any newspaper tatami cutting. you can cut untill you are sick of it ( like that will happen) ;D

Becareful and make sure that you clean your blade after cut or the ink from the print will affect your blade. You wouldn't want to make a headline on your sword if you know what I mean

You might also have a swamp nearby that has bulrush, cattail, reeds or canes. These are good cutting material generally.
