The Marketplace is for our forum members to buy, sell or trade edged weapons, bows, related items, collectibles, period clothing and training equipment. Vendors are not allowed to sell items as they have their own section.
The sale or trade of firearms and certain firearm-related accessories in the SBG classifieds is strictly prohibited. Prohibited items include: antique, modern, curios, and replica firearms, as well as projectile signaling devices (flare guns, mortars, grenade launchers, etc.), ammunition, high-capacity magazines, black powder, tannerite, any type of restricted/regulated firearm part (receivers, sears, silencers, etc.), or any other item or accessory which is deemed related to firearms as determined by moderator staff. The sale of these items are strictly regulated by local, state, federal, and international law - and though they may not be prohibited/restricted in a prospective buyer's area - SBG does not condone the classifieds to be used the sale, trade, or transfer of any such items. Ads which are posted are subject to immediate deletion. Any attempt to sell or trade firearms or firearm-related products can result in formal warnings or account suspension/removal.
Our Disclaimer:
SBG is not responsible for any of the sales that are listed. Doing business in the Marketplace is at your own risk. Moderators will not mediate between sellers and buyers.
Do your homework before buying. Research the seller and item for sale. Look at their profile to see how long that person has been a member and check for past transactions done on the forum.
Rules and Limitations:
The Marketplace is only for individuals and is not intended for vendors.
No outside links allowed. Your sale items need to be represented on this forum.
Seller must clearly state if item is not currently in physical possession. If it is not, then there must be a clearly stated reason(i.e. receiving repairs/customization).
Items for sale are to be immediately available.
Items that do not state who made the item unless antiques can be deleted.
Include the prefix "For Sale:", "Wanted:", "For Trade:", etc. in the title of
your post.
Prices for items must be listed.
Accurately describe your item. We recommend, but no longer require, images showing item along with a note or card with your username and current date.
Indicate if shipping is included in the asking price and note any restrictions.
Note your accepted methods of payment.
When your sale item status has changed, follow-up on your posts by noting that the item has sold or removed. Add the suffix SOLD or REMOVED to your topic title.
Other issues:
Do not debate pricing or haggle on the public forum. Use the PM function.
We would recommend members limit posting in Marketplace threads and use the PM function to contact the original poster of the thread.
The seller can ask whatever they want for the price. It is the potential buyers' job to research the item.
The seller can sell the item to whomever they want. There is no responsibility for the seller to sell the item to the first person who indicates they wish to purchase the item. Most of us honor the first contact scenario but it is up to the seller.
To combat forum memory issues we will delete any sale post that has not seen any activity within one calendar year.
