Just started making a matched set of drinking horns. One has had an hour of scraping done to it while the other is pretty well straight from the boiler. They both CME from the same bull and I'd guess they'd be 16" long before cutting and about 4" across the opening. Once the outside is all cleaned up I'll soak them for a day in sterilising solution and coat them inside and out with natural beeswax,which I think gives everything a slight honey flavor. :-)

Aye,my previous one I kept scrubbing in hot water,sniffing it,scrubbing some more,sniffing again,repeat. Wasn't till I'd gotten sick of washing it and let it cool down that I realised it was the hot water making it stink ! Now a year and a few sessions later its still going strong !:-)

Yep, never boil a horn inside, it does stink.
