1930's is indeed disconcertingly modern. I, like Dave, avoid anything later than 1914.

Oh.... I might as well come clean. I bought it again. Happy now? Had a long conversation with the seller Lev, saw lots of pictures he send me and the clincher was that Lev found a tiny mark on the spine reading ,,IMPORT''. That makes everything right. After WWI Germany was sanctioned. No German Import nor export. Officers in far away places wanted Solingen, ban or not and placed orders in Non Involved Countries. Holland comes to mind. These NIC placed the order at Solingen, Solingen shipped to the NIC and they shipped to the Officers, in this case in Sweden. Lev told me there are plenty swords in Swedish armouries carrying only the IMPORT mark. So, we made a deal and I got 10% discount and a three days grace period. Also a good Pallash. At last. Lev is great to talk to and deal with. Really glad Dave did the introduction.

Ah yes. Confession is good for the soul. I knew it was a real import I just thought you were hinky on plating. I felt the same way about a post WWI date. Anyway, yes to Lev being a really neat guy to do business with. ( He's held swords for me for 2-3 weeks at least. ) The Swiss 1876 Officer was bought from him. Doesn't post a lot, but it's usually VG+ or better.
Guess this is beat to death.
Pics when you have em...
