Well, I got swords. Not the swords I ordered. Two rapiers with nickel plated blades. Blunt. I hate nickel and I am starting to frown upon Wulflund. If it weren't so funny, I would be totally pissed off right now. Will have to send them back. Already emailed Milan Soukup at Wulflund. HE will be mightely pissed for sure!

Are you kidding me!? All that for the wrong swords. I would be asking for a refund and take my money elsewhere. Make them pay for return shipping, let them do whatever they want with the swords they were supposed to send, but give me back my money and let's just part ways

Oh, if you do not see the comic side of this affair you will wind up in hospital with an ulcer. The way I understand Wulflund to work is that they are a two men team, Milan and Krak. Anyone with a small outfit like that knows that answering emailes alone will take much, too much, of your time. So, sh*t will happen. It is not KOA where plenty of people are running around doing things. In the meantime I had a good look at the rapiers and I must say that I like the baskets on them. Very well done and far above anything Windlass can do for that price. They need a good polishing to remove little toolmarks, but still. I would like to classify the work as ,, the better side of rustic'' having seen many antiques over the last year that were (far) below the Wulflund level. I guess the blades are a custom order, because they are different from the pictures on the website. Nickel plated no less. Lots of flex, so not very rapier like at all, but made very well also. All in all, the quality of the rapiers makes me wanting those schiavonas more. Milan mailed me to ask for pictures and I send them. Tomorrow we will hear more I guess.

Send the pictures and the answer was that the rapiers were for a lady in Germany. Would I mind to send them back ASAP? So I mailed back saying that I would not mind sending them to said lady, if they would give me the address. And so it went. Wulflud thanked me very much, it saves time and they would compensate the costs. Took me an hour to do a good packing job. In the meantime their smith got the order to hammer out my blades ( What? Again? ) over the weekend. My reply was that I do not like hurry jobs and that I want quality, not some banged together blades. Also that I did not like the idea of some innocent taking the heat over someones faults. They told me not to worrie. He works the weekends all the time. ( Moonlighting?) We shall see about that when I can lay my hands on the swords. Please let them be good?

Ulahn, you certainly have some peculiar luck when it comes to these things! Best wishes on the blades turning out to your fancy, and being quality jobbers at that. Looking forward to the eventual review.

There comes a moment, which I passed, that one does not really care anymore. If I get them, fine. If I do not, fine also. Got other things to do than chasing Czech guys around. I do not know what is going on, but my order at G. G. Godwin seems to get the same treatment. Have been waiting for two swords for almost a year now. Email every now and then. Nothing doing. Problems with suppliers, blah, blah, blah. Looks like these people have serious management problems.

Indeed. I am following your saga more out of interest than expectation. Hope it works out tho - some of their stuff looks nice, though this makes you wonder if it's worth it

Wulflund have an etsy store, they get good reviews there. Could all be in stock items though.

Yes, though they have all that stuff on their site too. I was trying to make the point that their service generally seems to be good.

Fair enough. I think that the main issues Ulahn is contending with seem to be on the supply management and logistics side of the operation, rather than customer service. Either that or he is cursed. Open any pharaoh tombs lately?

Could also be that it's a custom order. I thought with pharaoh's tombs the curse caused death. Maybe he stole a mummified cat or something...
