I'm going with there's probably no probably about it. Interesting sword, never seen the movie and not generally a fan of movie swords, but it might be okay. I know the biggest issue with a lot of swords of this style is the grip is almost always a glorified hollow, round tube with a skinny tang inside, with any luck said tang is an actual part of the blade. I'm confused by the engraving, not sure what writing style it's supposed to mimic, and maybe it's my IME settings rendering Japanese characters and the Chinese are a little different, but it's definitely not the "無名" the listing says it is. 無名, without knowing the sword's story (according to the movie) is an odd thing to have on a blade. That's the "mumei" folks in the Japanese sword world always talk about, it literally means "without name" and I'm just a little bemused by the idea of carving that into a sword blade...then there's the stylistic choice which makes it look nothing like the characters as I know them. Anyway, if it makes you feel any better, on a whim I dropped $210 on a new folding knife Saturday night. It arrived today and honestly, I'm not thrilled with it.

I like fantasy style blades, as long as they are functional. If the grip is hollow, I've heard of people filling it up with epoxy, that's something I'll look into.

It has some fantasy elements, but it might be a good sword. I'm not really interested in chinese weapons, but Han Chinese swords were also used by Sarmatians and I do like Sarmatians. :)

But as to the OP, you might have messed up man, reproductions of the sword from Hero have notably been pretty crappy, sorry to pee in your corn flakes but maybe you can cancel.

The main character in the story who uses this sword is called no name. Ah, that makes sense. Still not sure about the characters as inscribed...but eh, whatever~

At least it's carbon steel... The biggest mistery is the hilt construction...

He was probably called " no name " because he was too embarrassed using a sword like that and didn't want anyone to know his name. Sorry guy but I would never use a sword with a hollowed out blade like that. As for the words " battle ready "and " full function " those are just words that everyone is now using. Unless you're dealing with a reputable company like KOA or SOM or some of the few others the words mean nothing. I know some others here will jump on me for saying, that's why I don't buy on Ebay. Hard to weed out the bad ones from the good ones. If a dealer starts getting too many bad ratings they just come back under a different name and start all over again. Even if it's not a real sword, if you like it just hang it on the wall.

The craftsmanship does look acceptable. They do list it as having a full tang, so if that turns out not to be the case you can always refund it or have ebay come in and get your money back for recieving something thats significantly different from what was advertised
