Hey im looking for someone to make a habaki for a kodachi i forged. Id like it to be made from Copper. the blade is not thick enough for any of the production ones ive seen, and ive spent way more money on solder than i care to keep trying to do it myself.

It's really easy to do yourself, just time consuming. It takes me a day or two to make one with either a thick wall pipe or a flat sheet. The trick is to heat the copper to make it soft and softly hammer it (small ball-peen hammer) over the tang to shape it. Then sand down the outside to remove the hammer marks. If you have a thick wall pipe then you need to bore out the inside to get a close fit, if you have a flat sheet then you need to solder one seam. It also helps if you can cut a groove where you want the flat sheet to fold. I have pictures of one in copper and one in aluminum in my " Digs' damascus waki and tanto completed (pic heavy)" thread.
