This has started to bug me. How where Chinese swords and and sabers worn? Where they tucked into a belt, or worn on the back with a strap of sorts. Thanks

In earlier periods they were thrust through the belt. Later on they were suspended from the belt with straps.
You can tell which method was used by looking at the scabbard i.e. if it has suspension rings.

Where might one obtain such a suspension system, good sir? The suspension rings are always on Chinese swords but normally we just have a cord thru them for hand carrying. The real deal would have to be custom made (which I can have done). It's not really in demand since Chinese martial artists don't wear the scabbard during practice like the Japanese arts.
