Hello! I'm still very new to swords, started collecting last year. So far I have 3 'battle-ready' sharp swords, and one art-piece (Mithrodin). I have an Albion Caithness coming in, but it's still a few months out. What I have so far: My first sword, a Ryumon kat - 3.2 pounds, very sharp. Very tight fittings, no rattle, feels good for practice, but still need to test it for cutting (it cuts simple stuff like paper or cardboard smoothly, I need to test harder targets when I can). Next is a Hanwei Damascus version of the Marshall sword. I picked it up cheap, and love it so far. It's a bit heavy to me for one-hand, at least compared to my Jian. Very solidly built, love the blade. Leather grip feels comfortable. For my first Hanwei, I'm impressed. Just to show the peened end: Third sword, Dynasty Forge Jian. I really like this, picked it up from KOA. The blade pattern isn't very obvious unless light hits it right, but looks really nice. I like the balance, it feels light in the hand. The guard is a bit odd, but so far it hasn't caused issues for me yet (hand rubbing against it doesn't feel good, lol). Closeup of the Jian blade: Bonus pic, the Mithrodin. It's actually an impressive piece of art I think, it's heavy and really sturdy. Doesn't feel cheap at all, for my only wallhanger/SLO I'm really happy with it:

That Mithrodin looks like Kharn the Undying's sword from the mini-movie "Prelude to Axanar" So cool. :)

I actually picked up the Mithrodin after reading the reviews of it on SBG. Normally I only want usable swords, but thought it would be nice to have a quality SLO just to hang up. I can't wait for the Albion to come in, and that will be my final sword for a while.
I actually picked up the Hanwei Marshall sword from Amazon (I know, risky!!). I had a lot of gift cards for Amazon, and got it for about $200, so took the chance. I got lucky, the hanwei was in perfect shape.
