Does anyone have any personal experience with the Windlass American Revolution sabre? I've seen some positive comments, so I have a bit of interest in it. I'm interested in it primarily as a weapon for fairly heavy cutting in mounted skill-at-arms practice.

Blade would need some sharpening for serious cutting work. No idea how the hilt will hold up to sustained work. Not the liveliest sword, but functional.

It is not a bad saber and actually decent for the price. Mine came with the sharpening option. I would have to defer to someone who has used the sword for cutting practice as I have not.

Good to know. I've been looking around the forums, and it seem like that is the general consensus. Of course, it would seem that it is too thin at the hilt, and too thick at the point. But what else can one expect from a modern repro below Albion or A&A prices?
