went to the great American outdoor show Mon here in Pa.lots of great hunting shooting and outdoor gear. Stopped by the cold steel display to check out a thai and burong machete.wife said she would get me which ever one I wanted for valentine's told her wanted to see the rest of the show first. Went back to the cold steel stand on the way out and when we got there wife said just get both and then asked if there was anything for around 20 bucks I wanted.so went home with a thai and a burong machete and their boomerang. Can't say enough about my wife. I think she got me the burong cause she said really liked the way it handled. But hey I'll share .so need to sharpen them up and then get rid of the ice and snow around my cutting stand. Before I try them out.

as soon as the weather breaks.not standing on ice and swinging very sharp steel around.will say the thai feels real good in the hand and my wife even likes it's to saying how handy and lively it felt with one or two hands also blade is fairly stiff.all in all I feel it is one of cold steels better machetes.but will know more when I get cut with it.also cold steel told me their bringing out a new katana machete later this year and it looked like a real katana with the handle being molded to look like a tradition katana wrap.
