I can tell you that there is a very big difference between the Chinese fast food and the authentic Chinese food I had when my best friend would invite me over. The food they would prepare were typical foods from their "region" in China. My friends would tell me that I should eat the food first and then they would tell me what I ate because I would probably not try it if I knew what I was eating. The food was amazingly good and I was surprised what it was.
I don't want to say what I ate because you probably wouldn't believe me.

I may be American but my family ate some truly funky things. Kidneys, eyeballs, brains, intestines; like the Chinese, Mexicans waste very little of an animal. That which is not eaten is used in other things. Now that I think about it I tried chicken feet and jellyfish at a Chinese restaurant. They were both pretty good! Man, I'm gettin' hungry

I ate those food types to, including the chicken feet, but somethings you couldn't imagine.

Back in college, where I met him, he once told me that if you want to know whether a restaurant serves "real" Chinese food or not, look to see if they serve chicken feet. That was his litmus test, so to speak. He was from NYC where there actually were quite a few different places serving "Chinese" food, too.

Second video seems to be broken and/or garbage. Referenced link is just a link loop page that goes nowhere. As to Chinese food, I remember a favorite Chinese restaurant next to the store I used to work at. My favorite meal was their curry beef. One day as I was going in for my usual the son of the family was sitting at a table with a huge bowl of I-couldn't-tell-what, so I asked him what he was eating. "Oh, just some duck hearts and [I wish I could remember the other thing, some fish part, I think?)." Without missing a beat I asked him, "Any good? Should I try it?" He replied something along the lines of "Well, I like it...you might not." Needless to say, I stuck with my usual. People all over the world eat some crazy things, but too many of us pampered American folk can't eat much of anything. I'm all about trying new things, but my family never does because between my mother's fiance and my sister's kids, if it isn't beef, chicken, or pork, and it's not an exterior part of the animal (thigh, wing, breast, flank) we're not having it for dinner. Shame, I say.

I love Indian food. I'm not fond of seafood so sushi is out, but there are dozens of sushi places around where I live. Vietnamese is good stuff, but all we've got is pho places that serve occasional entrees. There's a Thai place nearby that's amazing, too, but we don't eat there very often. Sadly, the most "exotic" my family's dinners get is taco night. Meh, I'd rather have curry.

Food glorious food. I live in a area of Sydney Australia that is heavily influenced by asia , mainly south east asia. My favourite way of eating chicken feet is deep fried with plenty of salt. Great for drinking cold beers as well!!!

This was remind me of first time i ever met Chop Soy at 2/8 Cav mass hall twenty years ago. It look like stew but I didn'twant to insult the cook and called it stew so I called it "that" and he was pissed and yelling at me for not properly use correct military term. He told me he woke up at 4 am to make this and it was my people 's food how could I not identify it. It was too early in the morning and the line was too long so I didn'twant to created any more delay by saying thing like good thing I am not Chinese because you will have to force me to eat this crap at bayonet point. That might cause a riot in the mass hall. Well, I got my first military grade Chop Soy and it was delicious. It was the best dish I ever taste in the army -K rat,C rat,MRE,steak and lobster none ever come close to that Chop Soy perfection.Sadly, they only served that once.

Sadly, they only served that once. Because you made him feel bad. It's your fault. I sure hope you're happy. Seriously, I'm hungry.

Man I'm not worried about what critter parts food is made from. I'll eat sewer rat if they cook it right.

Man I'm not worried about what critter parts food is made from. I'll eat sewer rat if they cook it right. Would you eat an egg that was cooked in donkey dung? I have to clarify that I'm not sure if 'cooked' is the right word. The eggs are placed in a pile of dung and the heat produced from the fermenting dung heats and cooks the eggs. I could be a little sketchy on the details. Or a bowl of fish anuses? My buddy told me that both are a delicacy from where he is from, but that was two things I never tried.

I'd eat em both, in the same meal.

I've already had civet dung coffee, tasted fine to me. Not to mention if you eat sardines out of the tin they still got poo in em.

Man I've eaten guinea pigs, they are a member of the rodent species just cleaner than sewer rat. And it's nice.
