I think if he tried that semprini to any of our homes we'd have to go with the quote "You came to the wrong f**king place"

I think if he tried that (censored) to any of our homes we'd have to go with the quote "You came to the wrong f**king place" I guess it's a good thing it wasn't MY home. I'm not sure how I'd feel if I had to chop down some dude with one of my swords. Even though I've trained for it (though not super extensively) I'm not sure how I'd handle it.

When I was in college, a million years ago, I worked as a security guard for a short time and was attacked on 3 separate occasions. My experience leads me to belive that you don't do much "thinking" your primitive survival instinct takes over and you just fight. I guess if you train extensively your muscle memory would take over, but as I remember my adrenaline was pumping so hard after things settled down, I was shaking.

I meant how I'd handle the mental aftermath more than the situation it's self.

I meant how I'd handle the mental aftermath more than the situation it's self. I understood.
I remember going to a seminar with a Shihan of my Karate style back in college, and one of the things he emphasized was that even though the bunkai of the moves were, for example, an eye gouge- how many of us were really prepared to ruin someone's eye with our fingers? He was a dentist, iirc, and reminded folks that our lives are very different from the old Okinawans.
Our bodies are actually very frail, regardless of how muscular, in-shape, or healthy we are. Killing or hurting another human is so incredibly easy that it is ridiculous, but the consequences of living with what we do are not (or should not) to be taken lightly.

Terrible situation to be in, I have been assaulted before but not with a machete. I just wonder, what caliber does that gun have? The guy was shot three times in the chest at what seems to be point blank distance and survived.

taking an educated guess here from the vid: it looks like a .38 to me - not much stopping power, especially if the person you're aiming at has a major adrenaline rush going through their system and the bullets miss vital organs as well.

the 38 is way better than those 380 people like today. I was told unless your useing a shotgun any hand gun is not going to give you good stopping power. A bigger cal. is more forgiveing of a bad hit but with the good CCW ammo anything 9mm/38 cal and up is just as good as most bigger cal. OR so saids Gun and ammo.
I saw the video of that on TV and he cut down the door!! I would want a Benelli M4 Super 90 or a Saiga-12 cause someone like that needs lots of shooting.
