I don't normally share things like this, but I figured that SBG would be the one place most interested in it; I don't know how many of you are familiar with Matt Easton of Schola Gladiatoria, but about a month ago, he posted this video on his Youtube channel (which I'm subscribed to): I signed the petition last month after watching it and didn't give it much thought afterwards, because I figured it'd be quite some time before there were any results; today, I got an e-mail regarding an update in the petition's status. It's nearly reached its projected number of signatures and Matt has drafted and sent a letter to the V&A notifying them of the petition. I figured that the folks here at SBG would strongly agree about what a waste it is to have such a large collection of antique arms & armor left to gather dust, so if you'd be interested in signing to help bring those pieces of history into the light, here's the link: Petitioning the V&A.
