I haven't seen an oppurtunity to purchase jian of this quality for a while. I was going to bid on this but that would mean less swords for everyone here.

Damn good condition mounted jian are so rare. Japanese sword ppl are lucky. There are nihonto everywhere!

Yeah, the ones on ebay had silver inlay all along both sides of the blades. Very nice work and in excellent condition too for 18th century. I estimated it to go for about 5K and it looked like it was going to get around that...

I could probably arrange for some monosteel TH Han jian to be made.
