I just got back from running 6 miles tonight. I'm preparing for the two half marathons that I run every winter. Winter is the only time it is cool enough that I can stand to run here.
Just wondering if there are any other forum members who are long distance runners.

I'm training up for my 3rd marathon. I ran 5k in highschool cross country, everything from the 800 to the 2-mile in track, and the 8k and 10k my first two years of college. I'm not running 6-minute miles anymore, but I've finished two marathons without sticking to a training routine and I'm looking to break 4 hours on this one. My first one had me under two hours at the halfway point, but my legs locked up at mile 18 so my finish was slow. It's all mountains here.

The second half marathon that I run each year is in Sedona, AZ and it is up and down hills the whole way. That type of running is completely different from the other half marathon that I run, which is almost completely flat. A couple years ago, I finished that one in under 2 hours. It is one of the Rock N Roll series, so it's always fun to run.

Another 8 miles tonight. Half marathon is in 2 weeks. The cooler weather this time of year is great for running long distances
