Hi guys this is my 1st post in this new format, slowly getting used to it There is a thread similar to this over at MA and I thought I'd see what on the lists here. For me, so far I've got 3 on the go. - I've got a katana currently underway from longship. Hopefully this will come early in 2015 as this was due in Oct 2014. - Next is a Scottish Dirk currently being made by Fallen, really looking forward to this one - and I'm also waiting to receive my deposit invoice from CastleKeep, im having Rob make me a Scottish Baskethilt Hightlander Backsword. If I'm lucky it might be a 2015 sword.

I'm still waiting on most of last years orders to arrive, so I won't be ordering anything new till they get here, but I will still hunt the classifieds for that illusive bargain from time to time.

It's almost finished, working on the handle and sheath right now. Have you got your kilt and bagpipes ready. Just glad you didn't want a wankler dagger.

I have the following due very soon:
Albion Tyrolean - Bryan just finished the scabbard. Albion Viceroy Albion Landgraf Albion Count CF Borderwatch Rob Miller Ranger - He is working on it now.
Longer Term Order:
Chenessfan (Lukas) Longsword. It will have a modified hilt from a Del Tin German Hand and a Half Sword - DT2160 that I donated.
The future - Well I would like to get a good rapier from A&A. If Albion ever gets the Hauptmann or Markgraf to market, one of those.

My "next episode": a Bugei Old pine or a Peace Katana. Still have to decide which one... In addition, a Feilong Iwa shobu would be cool, too

I should be getting a three core pattern welded blade from Jeff Helmes, based off the anglo saxon Gilling West sword. I was going to have someone else hilt it with a nice Type L hilt, but I'm thinking now I may have him hilt it as well.
Might have enough left over for another albion.

I'm hoping to pick up either a used Albion Talhoffer, Sempach, or Ringeck from the classifieds sometime. If nothing comes up I might just order a new Talhoffer, since it's my favourite of the three (for the moment).

Made sure you have enough money left over for either a Anglo saxon, type III/IV or type III. I will have each finished soon. The III/IV will have a 18in blade, the III a 16in blade. Also will have Type III with a 12in blade finished soon.
Some one send me a chart of sax and langsaxs, going to work my way doing one of each. Just hope I have enough steel to do them there are 14 to 16 I want to do

Not really planning any purchases - my income took a hit, so I have less extra cash for the time being. Still waiting on that same piece...now a year past the projected wait time; and, when I contacted him a few days ago, he gave me a BS response that just irritated me more. The only other thing pending has another 1-3 months projected wait (I don't expect it to go three more months, but wouldn't care if it did)

I have been thinking seriously about a second custom...at first I was thinking of a wide bladed mortuary sword based loosely on an Oliver Cromwell sword that is in the Phila Museum of Art, not sure I am going to go that route though. My second custom thought is the not too popular type XI...I am finding these types very interesting all of the sudden but none of what is currently in the production market really is exactly what I am looking for, although the A&A St. Maurice is pretty close.

The Viceroy always interested me but there was just something about the hilt that kept me from getting one. Not a lot of press out there on it. What is posted was all good though.

I'm only planning on 2 things right now: a Hanwei/Tinker bastard bare blade (with fuller), and an Albion XVI bare blade. I'm planning on making the hilts myself. At this moment the Hanwei will have a fishtail pommel, not sure what guard I want to do, and for the Albion I want to do a writhen hilt like on the A&A Bohemian.

I just received an H/T fullered bastard...very vice blade, lots of possibilities...just don't know what to do with it yet, but no rush.

2015 - looking forward to a few custom katanas by some of the sellers that have been mentioned recently (Huawei, Bugei, Hanwei), and also an H/T bastard bare blade to modify. I'd like to get a couple of Kiku knives, seeing as Mr. Kiku is getting along in the years. As for other knives, maybe an SnG Stryder, a couple of Hinderers, a CRK Pacific, a CRK Green Beret (7"), and a ZT 0392 (not released yet), and possibly a couple of Spartan knives, both fixed and folders.

I think I'm about due for a new bokken.
I'm at a spot where I'm pretty happy with what I've got, so the big push this year is to get everything in working order, polished and fully mounted. As part of that I'm going to try to get some significant cutting in on one sword in particular then get it cleaned up, maybe rewrapped.

I think I'm about due for a new bokken. Have you looked at Kingfisher Woodwork's bokken? I bought an Aikido set (bokken, jo, and knife) from them a few years back, still almost in new condition even after repeated use.
