It's been a few years since I used to be major into knife collecting and I've sold off most of my folders; knew it was a rescue folder I was looking for but I had forgotten that was the common name for the type- thank you for the suggestions. I figured rather than just search myself I would post here as I looked online. Forgot about Schrade brand and that one fit the bill nicely. Was already considering the SOG Escape (and some others) but the assist on the Schrade sealed the deal in its favour. Amazon.ca was too pricey though so I picked up one off ebay: www.ebay.ca/itm/251718564675?ssP ... 1497.l2649 Also found this little fella for just $10 and couldn't resist: www.ebay.ca/itm/221551308753?ssP ... 1497.l2649 I have no qualms about knock off and no-name brand knives, in fact I have researched enough to figure out that many brands are made in the same factories regardless of the name on the blade, but as the Schrade will be a gift I wanted something with a name that could be easily recognized. Personally I really like CRKT but I wasn't sure the orange would be well received. Colour on a knife makes sense to me from a practical standpoint, but I find most casual users seems stuck on black/grey.

Yeah, you see identical knives from three or four separate brands and it's not too hard to figure out, hahaha.
That Fox does look killer. Very classy. You don't see that a lot on super cheap knives.

Looks sleek right? For the price I had to give it a go. I wonder if Fox makes all their knives in Italy. Most European knife co.'s these days have 2ndary and offshoot brands they openly admit come from China.

I love that color. I badly want a sweet ass copper or bronze scale to put on one of my Leeks. I think one on my composite blade one would be the coolest knife ever made.

It's available in black and desert tan as well. Also forgot to mention it has an auto lawk and the belt cutter is a flipper.
