I see a lot of love for zombie tools stuff, but almost no mention of The valiant armory zombie slayer longsword. Mine seems like a tough, well made and affordable blade that performs far beyond what they cost. The guard is pretty much non existent but other than that the blade seems just about perfect and functionally they just don't have any parts to break. Why are they so off the radar?

That's the one, and why are they not common VA had a sale a while back and I think he was running them for 350. Mine is very well weighted, not at all over built, but sturdy. Good length and balance and from my cutting tests is very resistant to chipping and edge roll, even on hard targets. My only complaints are tool marks around the hilt, and that I dislike the handle shape (it's wedged toward the blade making your hand want to ride forward on thrusts) but that is countered by the leather cord. And the back strap for the sheath. I am still looking for a way to modify it for belt carry. Other than that though, it seems a highly under rated blade.

Nice looks like you changed the grip and worked on the cross guard as well. I'm rather fond of this blade, it seems that it may not get a lot of press time, but people picked them up, good to know.

Hell, I want one of those simply because I could easily use it for both jian and longsword techniques.

I have one as well. Pretty cool sword. It was a reasonable price for the sword on sale.

They actually were pretty popular and talked about for a time. Don't know why the buzz died down so much, though it probably is because, as mentioned, there aren't a lot of them floating around.

I don't get it. Smearing Zombie blood all around increases the likelihood of infection. Don't forget the protective gear:
