Ok folks I have on my work bench:
1. A box of wooden shims
2. Some sturdy electrical tape
3. Plumbers tape
4. masking tape
5. sticky clear tape that is hard to rip
6. JB Weld steel epoxy
7. Bag full of leather washers
8. Some paper
9. Blue Loctite
10. Gorilla Superglue
11. Breakfree CLP
Let's say I have about 1 hour time limit to eliminate this creaky hilt caused by air gaps from a 1 size fits all hilt, what would you guys do?

Bit more info - is this hilt apart or still on the sword ? do you want to disassemble the sword in the future ? can you see space looking into the cross guard ?

It is hex nut in recessed pommel
The guard slot to tang is pretty solid with little space
I may want to keep the disassembly option open since the fittings and handle are quite nice, but a permanent epoxy/glue solution is also possible if all creaking noises from air gaps are resolved.

JB Weld can be thinned with lacquer thinner or acetone, this would fill the voids and probably resolve the problem, however it is likely to be a very permanent
