So,i was going on vacation the next day and i had about 50 2L bottles,7 pool noodles and other cutting stuff and i shot myself doing some practice(i have not practice in a few weeks and i was just cleaning up). It not my best work(sword use, editing, ect..) and yeah it was messes but, at 3:45, 9:10, and 9:30 i tryed a jump cut.
i used the SS sword cause i had just used it for cleaning some brush.

Very entertaining video. You have some nice swords.
How do you like the Katana Machete by Cold Steel?

thank you. the Katana Machete by Cold Steel is a very good weapon/tool. I have the older 19'' blade model and one thing i like about it is it's very easy to sharpen vs a Katana. the mine downside i have found with it is that it had a thick blade so it takes more force to make some cut that it would with a Katana(soft targets like tatami mat, meat, poole noddles) and the balanceing point is odd on it and the handle for some people is too long.
overall it's a good zombie killing weapon and heavy wood cutting.

The handle does seem awfully long. I just picked up their Gladius Machete on Amazon for $15. I couldn't resist, it just looks cool and I don't have anything like it. Should be here by tomorrow.

I was going to get that cause i like short swords but i don't like double blades cause i always thing it going to come back and cut me. Yeah the handle is long but it give you diffent way to use it. you can use a sword/Katana hold for most cutting and a pole arm hold for cutting things you don't want to get close to. it a good weapon but has that long handle on it (you can very easy cut it down to a shorter side but i like it long).

Thanks for the vid - like others have said, pretty entertaining. A couple of pieces of (unsolicited) advice, especially when using a katana: flick your left wrist more (kind of like with a fishing pole), making an arc with the sword to make it perform better. Also, to make the blade stop where you want it to, twist your wrists on the tsuka kind of like wringing a wet towel as the sword travels along its cutting stroke. Here's to seeing more cutting vids from you

this for the advice :geek: . I am always trying to get better with my swords(it why make videos so i can look at myself and see where i can do better). Most of my sword practice is in the woods cutting wood, brush, weed, ect.. with my cold steel Katana Machete so it's one of the reason there stiffness in my cutting ( most of that stuff you have to hit very hard and it help me learn about over travel and contoling your blade. And wood does not fight back  ). I also use it as my testing grounds for things i see on deadliest warrior like putting your hand behiled the blade and doing a push cut (they had the french musketeer vs ming warrior one and they did that with the dao sword).
