Good evening everyone. I'm new to the forum. I'm honored to be among fellow martial artist and sword enthusiasts. I just made my first purchase of a Ronin Dojo Pro model 12. I have not received it yet but I'm anxious to get it! Any advice on the Ronin as well as maintenance is greatly appreciated.

Just clean it after use and keep it oiled. That's just about it. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome aboard!
Ronin makes a good blade. I have one of their older Dojo models and it's a favorite of mine. For maintenance I wipe it down with 99% Isopropyl alcohol or uchiko powder until it's clean, then wipe it off again with a dry cloth or paper towel and give it a thin layer of oil. Camellia oil, 3 in 1, sewing machine oil, light mineral oil, all are good for swords.

And remember, the key is to keep it clean, dry and lightly oiled (in that order) when not in use. An excess of oil can attract and trap dust, which carries moisture. Just a few drops is enough. Spread the oil evenly all over the entire blade, making sure every square millimeter is covered - If you pay close attention, you can see a slight change in the brightness and shininess of the steel - then wipe off everything that comes off with the same rag you used to spread it. (Don't wash this rag, just keep it clean of everything but oil; with time it'll get kinda saturated. This is good, as you can often just wipe the sword down with this rag without even adding any new oil.)
