Can we have a mod go through this thread and delete all these arguments and personal attacks on integrity?
Anyways with regards to the sword, to me it looks decent from a distance but when you look closely I see a number of things that I don't like.
I don't like the grip, it just looks bad and messy. I can't really see the design in much detail as it is all just muddled with the grainy wood. The seams look untidy and although it can probably be fixed with sandpaper.
This sword for me is the nicest DSA have ever made, but it still suffers from sloppy workmanship.

Maybe I am missing something, but in reading through this thread I didn't see anyone express doubt in you or your ability to review this sword. I did see people disagreeing with your conclusions, and I see nothing wrong with that. Isn't the exchange of opinions what this forum is about? You posted your findings and opinions on those findings. Others posted their opinions on your findings, which disagreed with yours. Again, I see nothing wrong with this. To you, $700 for this sword was worth it. The imperfections you found are reasonable with the money you spent. To someone else it may not be. Neither is wrong. It is important to hear both sides.
And I think it is an excellent review. Please continue producing such thorough write ups. Whether people agree or disagree, they are useful to the community.

*mod hat off*
Sir Alan, +Karma for a great review! Far more impartial than many, and you went out of your way to be as neutral as you could.
Yes, the sword has quirks, good lord, any of us could go on for hours about some of the things they've dealt with. IMO, 'so what?' As you said no sword is perfect, unless it's mythical, and I'd gleefully pay for a sword made of Miraculum...
Qualifications to review? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...good grief, they let me post...you're over qualified. My qualifications: typically I end up bleeding on it at some point. Really, it's a learning process, and even the 'experts' relearn or learn new stuff all the time.
Now, to the sword, an interesting point was made about steam pressing the shapes. Interesting thought. But consider, would the wood grip look good if it were leather wrapped as it stands now? Are the risers enough to make the carving stand out? Just a thought.
I LOVE the idea of a manufacturer putting a MIC on the tang as a selling point, but I'd be surprised if it ever happened as the tang has so much variance. Maybe if the entire thing were CNC machined would it make sense. But pictures of the internal processes would be amazing. But I'd expect someone like Albion or A&A to go there first.
Did I forget things, yeah probably. Bah,
**Mod hat on**
Just keep it on track, and about the review.

Thanks every one I am glad that you all found this reveiw to be helpful. There is no doubt that DSA is improving their products. And like I said I thought the blade was pretty darn good IMO. Certainly the best part of the whole sword. But there is no doubt that that wood grip detracts from the overall package in a serious way. The look of the carving goes well it verall. but

Sorry didn't finish that thought and pushed the wrong button.Any way I intend to do some filing and sanding, and make the grip as nice to the touch as it is to the eyes. Take of the rough seems and corners that don't fit and then I think I will be satisfied. And just for the info I am going to reveiw my new Atrim XVIIIb that I purchased new from KOA. And I just ordered an DSA Einor and.I will reveiw it.when It arrives . So keep watching for more fun everyone.

Sir Thorfinn as I stated I plan to work over the grip,to try and make it more user friendly. And I think that a very thin leather overwrap might work. Especially after doing the filing and sanding I am planning. I think that that would allow the carving to show while making the grip much more user friendly. So I think I will try it. And then update this thread afterwards. So we will see how it goes.

Hello guys well got my DSA WolfsBane replacement again. But this time the pommel was not peened so it's loose and spins. Theirs also a slight wave to the blade. They also forgot to send the scabbard this time to. Im very disappointed in darksword armoury and the WolfsBane sword. So this is WolfsBane #3 or #4 I can't remember. I'm just having nothing but bad luck.

It certainly apears that even though they are improving their blades. That their quality control is still seriously in question. I am glad that I was happy with the first one I received. I would be upset if I had to go through that many different ones. Before receiving a keeper. Some people just have all the luck! Good or bad. They are supposed to be shipping out my Einor tomorrow. I hope its a good one. A reveiw will follow its arrival.
