Those who have a 30x1 belt sander may be interested in this - it's made from some very light timber, you can see how it fits to the table (one clamp missing for clarity) - this allows you to guide the blade and equalizes the pressure from the belt at the same time, the closer the push pins are to the belt edge the less "flex" and pressure is applied, those with machining ability can substitute small bearings for the push pins.

In a way it's more about evening the pressure applied, just makes it easier for some things

Cool Idea, I'll make one too and give it a try, but typically I do mine by hand too. Might help, ya never know. Great idea though!
