Late this afternoon..... ![](http://i.imgur.com/Y2jMnUCl.png) Huge box... ![](http://i.imgur.com/vJPORkBl.png) With stuff... ![](http://i.imgur.com/g8DOZQBl.png) Yes, yes, yes.... The Rheinfelden, the Renaissance War sword and the French CaT. Also a nice dagger. Still in heavy duty grease. Reviews to follow. While celebrations were going on in the State Room, somewhere in one of the many towers of Dr. Frankulahn's castle, a poor German Bastard is made to suffer...... ![](http://i.imgur.com/STDH976l.png) New straightjacket of 1.5 mm plywood, wrapped in linnen and smoothed out with gesso. Leather wrap to follow shortly. Cheers.

I will do reviews on the lot in a short while. The Renaissance war sword was made by Windlass and long since discontinued. Irongate.fi have ordered Windlass for a resupply. So this is brand new stock of a sword you will not find anywhere else anymore. Just like the Rheinfelden and the French CaT. One thing is for sure: it has a good and quite stiff blade for such a big bruiser. Not whippy or floppy at all.
Cheers.

Sorry to hear that. Is yours peened? Mine is. On the website you can see a version with a ,,peen block''. I think that is a screw on pommel. Mine has some flex when pushed, but held horizontal there is just a tiny bend. Long, big blades like this need that flex.
Cheers.

Yeah, same with me...i dont know, i am kinda disappointed. Pity i cant give it back: the crossguard wasnt fitting too good so tried to "squish" it in line with a vice; when i did that the little wood "pads" i used to protect the guard sprang away and now i have deep "bite" marks in the brass! Grip is a little misaligned also...well i gonna give it away cheap for someone to "refurbish" it somehow...ah, Windlass is always a hit or miss! By the way mine is peened also, and quite solid as it looks.
