Tang should be similar in profile to the Hanwei cutting Jian. It is made in the 'Japanese Ken' style with my blade dimensions, I don't have it yet so can't confirm if the specs match what I ordered and I only have this one pic so far, but I will post pics of the Tang when it arrives.

Yep that's what the Hanwei cutter Tang reminds me of, diamond profile not square edges bar stock style. Can you share a pic of yours?
