Resurrecting a seriously dead thread to say I did manage to catch Rush on their R40 tour 3 days ago when they stopped by Detroit. It has to be one of the greatest things I've ever seen. My only complaint is it's the only concert of theirs I'll probably ever see. Here's some of my favorite pics I took: Did any other fellow SBG-users get an opportunity to catch them on this tour?

Been a fan for 30 years. I just saw them last month when their R40 tour hit Austin. Great show and great fun.

I saw Rush at the Coliseum in Evansville Indiana back in the 70's. It was a great concert but I was tripping on some awesome acid so it's kinda filtered through that. Mostly stuff offa 2112 best I can remember. I like em, they got stayin power.

Pretty much every album up to Hold your Fire is considered to be a real classic of rock music... kinda lost them after Presto, but I'm planning to 're-discover' their later albums.
Guess they had their high between mid/late 70s and the early 80s, Hemispheres following A Farewell to Kings following 2112 is hard to beat, by any band.
Too many great songs to just name a few IMHO. Great, great band, with Neal Peart one of drummer's all times great.
