It's Taiwan, bro Saito I really enjoy the sword, for the first time i felt confident with an agile one, and with the resharpened edge Saito put on it just before he shipped the sword (Thanks a lot bro Saito!), I can almost cut like wielding a lightsaber! The sword is currently served as beginner sword for my students and friends without cutting experience, and it serves well, makes everyone want one after they cut with it. Only thing i want to point out here is that, the sword was originally designed to be a light cutter for bottles, so it was kind of bent after cut through a 3 inch-diametered soaked paperroll (which is a very unforgiving target) by one of my students with terrible edge alignment. I retemper it using a small electric furnance twice but it bend almost every time some one use it with bad control, which may caused by my unsufficient heat treating skills, however there's never a roll or nick on the edges, which is considered a good quality for swords. To be fair, the problem never happen when I use it on cutting, bad edge alignment and terrible force control could ruin any good sword on the market. As far as i konw, Saito has been improving his craftmenship ever since the StormCaller, and I will recommend his work for anyone who wants a custom sword with practical abilities and creativity/resbonsibility of the bladesmith. Regards, Exiel

yeah that thick ass newspaper roll is a nasty unforgiving target for someone without proper edge allignment.to this day i will not cut it lol, you did a good job with it though. She was made as a super sharp light trick cutter for bottles and tatami, and had alot of distal taper in the last 1/3rd of the blade
