I just got a work sharp ko sharpener. And my kitchen knives have never been sharper. I havent used it on a katana yet but im thinking of putting on the highest grit paper and giving her a touch up. Has anyone else used one of these?

Yep I have used mine on different swords including katana.
I clamp my sword down on a table, blade hanging off the edge. Then swivel the head to the tool grinding position, with the knife sharpening guide off. Then run the Work sharp down the blade as needed.
I have not needed to use anything more than the 6000 grit to hone the edge so far. But the 220 would likely be useful if I ever got some edge damage. If you just use the 6000 grit to hone regularly you can keep the edge nice and sharp.
You might want to practice on a cheap machete, or other long blade before using on your katana, just to get a feel for how it works.

Make sure you don't use too much pressure on the belt since it can "wrap" itself over the edge and actually make the blade more dull than before. Even though it'll take a long time to potentially ruin an edge using a 6,000 grit belt, a light touch is always best.
