Disappearance of Hanwei Military Dadao

Hey, all.
I was just curious about this. years ago when I was doing a seminar on chinese broadsword, I got a Hanwei Military Dadao for the class because I liked to use combat-steel for training because of the weight. Those training wushu steel ones are too whippy for my taste, I don't feel like I need to get my body behind them as much.
Anyway, even though I had to blunt it a smidge for the training, for safety reasons, I have to say the Hanwei Military Dadao was fantastic. Balance was good, steel was good, sheath looked cool (could have been better), the guard looks like a curly mustache (I call him Dr. Swordopolis) and the grip was just the right size taper. Much better than Hanwei's other more traditional Dadao though there's nothing wrong with that one necessarily. The Military Dadao just looks and feels so much better, and has a pretty subdued look that I rarely find on usually flashy chinese weapons.
So a couple years later I'm looking to see if I can get another. I still train with the old one, hence why I don't want to resharpen it, but I was hoping to land another so I could keep it sharp, maybe use it as a cool machete because it was so heavy duty.
Much to my chagrin, I cannot seem to find it anywhere in stock.
I'm not even sure if it was fully discontinued, and I was pretty sure it sold well (tons of reviews regarding it) so it baffles me why Hanwei would have pulled it off the shelves after a while, if that is indeed the case. It was also more affordable than their more traditional-looking Dadao, making it an ideal choice as a no-nonsense two-handed Dadao.
Also more disturbing yet, I've found it harder to find more of their practical tai-chi jian (with the fiberglass furniture) on reputable sites too, though I can still find those here and there. the Miltary Dadao is just plain gone though, save for a few pictures and some old pages that just permanently read "out of stock".
Does anyone know why they stopped this line, or where one can still get one of these for a good price?
