If you were in Aussie I'd build you a bench from 50mm slotted angle and Aussie hardwood

laying on the bench. the angle grinder threads on to a drive wheel and clamps onto the frame of the grinder and runs the belt.

I have a seax made by lonely wolf.an I think it say's a lot about his skill as a craftsman to be able to build such a fine knife and so few tools.as it has been said before it is the artist not the tools that make the difference.thanks Saito my seax is still going strong an I will have to do a review on it as soon as life let's me have the time.crazywolf

Is your grinder fixed or adjustable speed ?

But that belt grinder moves at real high speed since you used such a small drive wheel and a what 10,000rpm angle grinder. What are they skate broad wheels.

Why not just a speed controller ? Harbour Freight -

Those motor controllers don't work very well. Would be better off putting proper drive and tracking wheels on it, going with a at least a 1.5hp motor 1750 rpm 3 or 4 step pulley system.

I wired a dimmer switch into some kind of exhaust fan I found. The result is a pretty effective, variable-speed forge blower. I can push the dial in to turn it off and push it again to turn it on without having to readjust the speed. You mught try that kind of switch on your grinder. If you mount it to the bench, it makes a good "panic button".

Don't feel bad about it, it's the artist, not the equipment. Sounds cheesy but it's true.
