You know you have the customization bug when you start customizing swords when YOU ARE THE ONE WHO MADE IT. I have not been entirely happy with the way this sword came out, it looked very attractive and was an overall nice sword....but it just never felt. "Me" so i revisited it. I repolished the entire blade and the guard and pommel, stripped the old grip leather down and re-wrapped it in a thicker, and wider leather. The grip Feels much better and this helps the handling of the sword alot. The old grip was just too darn thin. Also i etched the blade in Elder Futhark, i tried to photograph the etching, but the camera is having trouble picking it up. In the pics it looks kinda shallow and almost not there, but in real life it really pops nicely and looks very attractive without being too flashy or gaudy. the sword really matches Sarge's scabbard now, the black grip corresponds to the leather on the scabbard, and the blood wood Grip Spacer contrasts nicely and matches the suspension system on the scabbard. the whole thing just has that aura of "Complete" now that it did not before. For those interested, the Futhark inscription goes down both fullers and reads as follows... Fjall Skerandi (Mountain Cleaver/Splitter) and on the reverse side... Einmana úlfur (Lonely Wolf)
