ive collected swords and daggers for a long time, but i am new to the forum.i would like to ask if anyone knows where i can find a replica Russian kindjal dagger that looks like the real thing. a straight blade and with all the ornate scroll patterns on the scabbard, blade and pommel? i think these are the most beautiful daggers i have ever seen, but i can only find real ones that cost a small fortune.i do not like the windlass kindjal, it looks like a gladius/machete and has no resemblance what so ever to a true Russian kindjal....thanks

I just replied to your post over here. Also, as an addendum, before you go deciding what is and isn't a "true" kindjal, take a look at these: Bebut Military Sidearm, Imperial Russia, dated 1913 "]Unusual Bichaq/Kindjal dated 1896 Kindjal with curved blade Greek Kindjal Sword Dated 1888 Curved Heavy Kindjal, Dagastan Qama/Quadara/Single Edged Kindjal

Kizlyar make a functional one.
I've seen a very nice custom kindjal. Probably quite expensive.

Sorry I have never bought anything from Russia either, even though they are our neighbours. I'm not much into Russian weaponry myself, so I haven't searched a lot of it.
And unfortunately I don't read, write nor speak Russian, I just know the terms for various Russian weapon types, as I've tracked some of them down because Russian swords & daggers are in high demand in Finland.
I don't know how well the companies will respond to English language enquiries, there might be bit of a language barrier maybe, not sure how good their English is. Or if they would even be willing to send items outside Russia? But if you can find their email/contact form you could try shooting an email in English.

the web site says they ship internationally and at least two of the web sites have been on the web and selling for 15 + yrs. that at least speaks well for them. i looked them up on scam checker ( who is) still wish i could get a review from someone thats bought from them. oh well ill try and find someone.
