That design has a familiar look. It's like I've seen it somewhere before. Maybe it just strongly reminds me of another sword. It's cool nonetheless.

How did you get 3in wide by 3/16in 1095 steel from admiral steel, the widest I've been able to get is 2in.

So how about the sword from Beastmaster ? With a more pronounced pommel and an avian grip ?

Because i dont have a milling machine and im not paying a local machine shop 150$ just to mill slots in the guard and pommel...that and they are bronze not steel, and the guard is a really complicated shape, one slip in grinding and id have to completely start over. Casting is way more efficient, i can carve the shapes from wax, pre slot them and fit them to the tang (wax is way easier to slot than solid steel) and when they come back from casting they will just slide right on and fit with minor adjustment. Plus the customer specifically requested Bronze rather than steel, had they been steel i would have had to reach out to Ernie at Yeshua swords for pre slotted pommel and guard blanks, which would take quite some time with Ernies back log, plus like i said, even with the slotted blanks, one slip of the grinder and its ruined. You wouldnt believe how many wax versions i ruined and had to start over
