Prices are pretty similiar. I have most of the Arms and Armour rapiers (still waiting on two Italian Three-Ring Rapier), but I am getting a little impatient.
Questions. 1. Historical accuracy, I practice with these and I am a stickler for using the sword of the system (hence the reason for two of everything, in this case the Italian Three-Ring Rapier is for Capafero). 2. Communication 3.Delivery times 4.Postage. ( I live in NZ)
Arms and Armour 1.Historical accuracy has been good and I particulary like the stiff blades from Arms and Armour. (I cannot do historical technique with whippy, bendy blades) 2.So far the communication has been good with Arms and Armour, but they slowed down (snow) and I waited for 6 months without any communication. So not ideal. 3. See above, I admit, ordered about 30 odd swords, but delivery was excellent at the start (non stock items) but really slowed down. No real complaints (I would have prefered an update), but if I can do better.. 4.Good, packaging was not ideal (hilts have come through the outer box) but postage and tracking has otherwise been excellant.
I have given some feedback to Arms and Armour, and I am sure they will try harder, however I wish to try other competition if they are suitable.
Anyone have any experience with lutel handicrafts? Or another maker of similar quality. Albion is off the list, historical accuracy and communication where good, but delivery and postage are terrible.

el-gur looks like they make very nice swords, similar to lutel but with more attention to detail on the hilt. Although I haven't ordered from them, they've always replied to my queries within 2-3 days. Michal's english isn't the best but you get what he's trying to say.

I have medieval swords from both makers and while I like the Lutel swords, they are not as nice as the A&A. I would compare Lutel more to certain Del Tin models but with a more modern look and finish.
Both companies are very good in my opinion.

@ LemuelTheLemur , Thankyou for your reply, I cannot see where he makes rapiers? I am sure he would as custom, but it would be nice to see "price and performance" up front. ( I am sure he has the skills, but may not have the knowledge of the handling of rapiers?)
@ William Swiger Thankyou for your reply. I am reasonably happy with Arms and Armour (better the devil you know), just seeing if there are other choices. I noticed Lutel tend to be mainly "turned" (spun in a lathe) rather than hand shaped etc. Nothing particularly wrong with that ( I am sure they might of turned parts, if steel and the lathe where cheap). Depends on how much form over function is required.
