I see these for sale often and wondered if anyone has handled an original British 1845 pattern infantry officer's sword. Looking for how they feel in hand.

Lightweights. Very smallswordie. British officers were in two camps about their infantry swords; the conservatives liked their fencibility, the radicals wanted a meatier cutting weapon to go toe to toe with a tulwar.
Don't own the 45 infantry, do have the engineer pattern and the 1827 Inf.
