www.legendaryarms.com/I have checked this site out before and they carry mostly Windlass/MRL stuff. Prices are higher than KOA but they have a few items not carried by most vendors out there. I was not 100% sure this was a Windlass run company and mostly Windlass products until I asked a question and received an answer from: Ms. Sudha R. Windlass Gupta President Legendary Arms, Inc.

Nice find Bill. Similar to the MRL website though, the pictures and the details about the swords is seriously lacking. Every sword I quickly looked at was listed at 6 lbs. which I suppose must be the approx. shipping weight but...KOA still has the best stats and pictures, which when you are buying something online and never seen in person is so important.

Agreed - just mentioned the site because of a few CW swords they carry which are not common. Design and layout could be much better.

Good call! Some unusual CW sabers, as you mention, and I'm oddly intrigued by the presentation version of the 1902 US Army Officer's sword. It looks to have a heavier blade than the Cold Steel version (I think the USMC sword blades were lightened towards the end of WWI).

Don't know why Windlass felt compelled to include LA. They bought up Atlanta Cutlery same time as MRL. LA and AC sell the same items. ( Other hand LA has some nice discounts...)

That awful stainless 1840 artillery saber I picked up from you did throw a craving on me for a carbon steel version. LA is cagy in their descriptions: the 1840 artillery officer's saber includes no description of the steel, but the plain 1840 artillery is listed as spring steel . . .

No, no, no; don't do that to yourself. Save a few and wait for a French 1829 to pop up. The CW affiliated ones cost too much. You'll be glad you did. It will thrill you. Has the sort of handling you always grumble about wanting.

I've never put a foot wrong taking your advice so far, Dave. I'll keep my eyes open for an 1829!
