Hi there, In my seemingly neverending quest for an affordable (sub 300) small sword that fits what I'm looking for, I've come across this listing on eBay: www.ebay.com/itm/18th-Century-Ge ... 3a876dd728 Does anyone know anything about this and/or the seller? The seller is medieval shoppe. Are they a manufacturer or just another retailer? The sword looks a lot like the Windlass court sword. Thanks! Cole

I bought three swords off these guys a few years back and they were pretty bad. One blade stayed bent on a simple flex test.

Hey Cole. At first sight it looks okay, but then I see a wavy ridge on the blade, dents in the scabbard and something in the hilt decoration casting looks off. In short, it looks sloppy. EN45 is springsteel, but when the tempering is not good, see William, this is no help either. This, together with the shipping costs, made me look elsewhere a couple of years ago when I first came upon this offer. My advise is to hold on to your money and shop around some more. For me the shopping around is 80% of the fun anyway and one learns a lot in the process too. KOA pre-owned is a source to keep your eye on and the classifieds on the fora. Happy hunting!

Whew, thanks guys! I thought it was too good to be true!
I have narrowed down my search to something like the CS Spadroon but without the brass fittings. Don't know why but I'm not a fan of yellow. The custom loop hilt or double loop hilt small sword from Arms and Armor with the black hilt just about my ideal, but I can't afford the price! I could be happy with a nickle finish... anything but yellow!
Oh well, this next sword I am getting is probably my last, so I better take my time!
Thanks! Cole
