Just an FYI, but you might want to change the picture to something, you know, not the size of a fingernail. That said, from what I can see of it, it appears to be a Han Dynasty Dao, so it actually is a traditional design; just one far different from what most people associate with the word "dao".

Note the fuller, have not seen one of that size as a traditional blade.

Actually, Han dao with a fuller nearly the full length and width of the blade did exist. Below is an image of an original Han dao (bronze, I believe) alongside a fragment of another Han dao; you can make out the fuller on both, though it's much clearer on the complete sword: Some, like this one below, also had double fullers:

Yes, does look like they have copied a bronze period sword for this one.
