Well me annual trip to the Bahamas is getting closer and closer, and since I spend most of my time in the ocean, i'd like to ave something with me to protect myself with while in the water. I'm just looking for a bare bones knife that I could affix with a thigh mount or something thats well made enough to hold up to some salt water, sand etc.. Also something cheap enough to where I don't need to worry about cutting open something that might damage my blade like a shell or whatever.
Just wondering if any of you are divers and have any recommendations.

I'm not a diver but a Ka-Bar with a lanyard seems like a good choice.
Long and thick blade, ideal for poking stuff and also hard to damage. Thick and strong enough to pry open various objects such as shells and booty chests. Rubberised grip, none slip hold and nice chunky handle. Easy to attach a paracord lanyard. Variety of mounting options, leg, thigh, belt etc. Works just as well on land!
Not sure how they cheap they can go though most knife stores do stock em.

Thanks rifleman I'm checking it out now and it looks to be okay. I just gotta make sure to oil the crap out of it after a trip.
