Could be the same one that forum member Jblakey reviewed here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=16499I remember seeing a Hanwei Kami copy sold in Europe as well some years ago. But at the moment I can't remember who was selling it.

I suspect that it is no more than 1045, of course I cant be sure it is possible it is 1060. What concerns me the most about the sword is that the pictures don't reveal much. I agree that it does have a proper tang. From the pics I can't really tell if the ito is alternating or if the end knots are correct. I'm pretty sure the bo-hi doesn't extend to the ko-shinogi as it should. But as I said the pictures make it hard to know for sure. Overall, for $70, I guess it is worth it for the price. Though whether it is something that is worth spending the money on is for you to decide. Certainly you should ask for more pictures, closer up, check out the habaki fit if you can. This sword does have a nice looking habaki and saya. you will want to see the saya up closer as well. Rattan wrapping usually raises the price of sword a bit. So it maybe fake. It doesn't look like it is painted on though. If you do buy this just make sure to ask the seller for more pics and as much information as he can give you.
